A cardiology practice for people who want to understand what their heart is telling them — not just hear that it's fine.

When you call to schedule, our coordinator will ask for your insurance card and the name of the doctor who referred you — that's the full intake. Most insurance plans cover an initial cardiology consultation; we'll verify yours before your appointment.
On the day, plan for about 90 minutes, though the exam itself takes closer to 45. Bring any recent lab results — a cholesterol panel, a metabolic profile — if you have them. If you don't, that's fine. We'll order what we need.
Accepted: Medicare, most PPO and HMO plans, and major commercial carriers. We'll confirm your specific coverage when you call.
The exam room is small and unhurried. A medical assistant will take your blood pressure — both arms — and a brief history. Then the EKG: ten small adhesive leads placed on your chest, arms, and legs. You lie still for eight seconds while the machine reads your heart's electrical pattern. There is no current, no discomfort. The leads peel off like stickers.
If your history suggests it, we may perform a stress echocardiogram the same day — a cardiac ultrasound before and after a treadmill walk that shows how your heart responds to mild exertion. A Holter monitor, if needed, clips to your belt and records continuously for 24 to 48 hours while you live your normal life.
The cardiologist will spend at least 20 minutes with you — not a rushed handshake. Questions are expected. Write yours down beforehand if that helps.
Results from the EKG and echocardiogram are interpreted the same day. The cardiologist will sit with you, show you the tracing, and explain what it means in words you'll remember. Not "mild left ventricular hypertrophy" — "your heart's main pumping chamber is working slightly harder than it should, and here's what we're going to do about it."
You leave with a printed summary, a follow-up plan, and a direct line to our nurse coordinator. If anything in the results requires urgent attention, we act that day. If everything looks stable, you'll know that too — and why.
Lab results from bloodwork ordered at your visit are available within 48 hours. We call you. You don't have to wait and wonder.
Let's take the next step together.
You now know what to bring, what the room looks like, and what the doctor will ask. The only unknown left is when you'd like to come in.
